Now, for those who were late to the party - I have something fabulous for you too. Are you ready? Well, y'all know how much I have loved Three Irish Girls over the years. I think my love affair with their yarn has been going on since roughly the minute Sharon opened her shop in 2010.
She made the most vibrant colorways on the most exquisite bases. There are still a few that I have been wanting to get my hot little hands on but have yet to achieve said goal. Do y'all remember my 95 mile pilgrimage to A Good Yarn in Sarasota just so I could squish the yarn and fell in love with Octopus Garden? Yeah, well it wouldn't have been as long if I didn't go out of my way to avoid the super scary bridge but that's another story entirely.
I've been able to celebrate anniversaries past with Sharon who founded TIG so I thought it only fitting that I reach out to the new owners to see if they would like to carry on our tradition - and they were more than eager!!
This tonal blue is absolutely stunning - the highs and lows bring such depth to this yarn. |
I can totally attest to the fabulous squishiness of this skein. I may or may not have squished and squeed upon it's arrival. |
Good luck everyone and here's to another year in the making!!
Oh this is the easiest question....they have a colorway named Carey that I love. It is light grey with pops of light purple!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried TIG yarn. I'd love some!
ReplyDeleteWhat colorway do you like from their collection?
DeleteI'm on a green kick. Bells of Ireland is lovely.
DeleteGorgeous!

Isn't it! What is your favorite colorway from TIG?
DeleteAzalea orchid is just gorgeous!
DeleteGrand Canal is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteOMB, I can't even pick! I didn't know of them...now I know why you had to see their stuff in person. Just Devine. I first loved the piazza de San Marco-I think. Oh, but then forest primeval! Oh, and Maui, stunning! And can't pass up narcissa, purpleishious!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite colorway is Alantis
ReplyDeletePiazza del San Marco needs to come live with me. I think I might have to ask for it for my birthday. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your anniversary (blogiversary {SP?}). What fun to see the wonderful things go to good homes.
ReplyDeleteanother fantastic giveaway - thanks, amy! had fun looking through the TIG colorways. the first pair of longies i knit for Miles - knit with TIG yarn! i should find a picture... :) to answer your question though, i am thinking Eavan might be my current favorite. ask me again tomorrow and i'll likely have a new fave. they're all so lovely!
ReplyDeleteAARRGH! How do I just pick one favorite color? There was a new favorite on the next page - Maui, Pixie Hollow and Waterlilies to name a few. I am partial to purples and teal blues. Now, I will have to be sure to add TIG to my list of yarn shoppes. Thank you Amy for a wonderful week! Happy blogiversary!
ReplyDeleteI like the soft colors in Beach Cottage
ReplyDeleteI have never worked with TIG though I get the emails love the names of their colorways. Either Mad Hatter or Appalachian Trail is my favorite today
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't know how to pick just one, but if I must it would be Maui.
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to pick!!! So many gorgeous colorways! I think I have to go with Blackberry Cobbler. Although there are many that I love!
